We were luck enough to see my brother and his wife this Christmas. They came up to visit and we were able to spend time with them. Nick has a new thing. he doesn't like to have his picture taken, so we have very few pictures of him this Christmas. Amber on the other hand loves to have her picture taken. Christmas morning we all got up and had biscuits and gravy for breakfast and then the kids got to open presents. Around noon, we went to my parents house and opened presents with them and my brother and his wife and my grandparents. Lunch was a traditional wild rice and meat (usually sausage) with cashews. A tradition from my grandmother Dee. The kids received everything they asked for and things they didn't even know they wanted until they got it. They are well contented to play with all the great things they received.
Amber started preschool in September 2007. These are pictures from her first day of school. Amber continues to enjoy going to school. She brings home lots of art projects and is writing her name. The only thing wrong is that she wishes she could go as much as her older brother Nick. She loves working on home work at home. The first day when she came home, Amber said she hated school and didn't want to ever go back. When we asked her why she said because they made her share. Luckily she has gotten over not wanting to share and now enjoys school.
For Halloween last year Nick got to Trick-or-Treating with his best friend Triston. This will be his last year. Next year he will get to pass out candy to the kids who come to the house. Amber and Nick went Trick-or-
Treating at Microsoft with their Grandpa. Nick made his own costume as a zombie and Amber was Strawberry Shortcake. We all carved pumpkins. I also painted a pumpkin for my work. After going to Microsoft, Amber went trick-or_treating on our street and then she went to a Halloween Carnival at her school/church.
