    Weekend of Fun

This has been quite an interesting weekend.  We spent the weekend resting and playing instead of working on the house this weekend.  We love working on the house, but this weekend was about enjoying some family time together.
We got a cat this weekend.  We went to the pound first and then to the ASPCA and that is where we found Lola.  She is a petite, 2 year old long haired siamese.  She is not a pure bread, but her colorings are wonderful.  She is silver, white and the lightest khaki color and the biggest blue eyes you have ever seen on a cat.  We are hoping that she will work out.  She is very tolerant of Amber and she loves Nick.  She purrs loud and talks a lot.
Bobby and I went out Saturday night with out the kids.  We did a little shopping and then we went to Guido's Pizzeria and Wine Bar at Crossroad Mall.  Mom suggested it and it was really good.  Afterward, we walked across the street and went to see Good Luck Chuck.  All I can say is I am really glad we didn't take the kids!  It was funny, but very explicate.
Sunday the kids and I went to the NW Block Convention at the Seattle Center.  It was small, but they had some really great attractions.  My favorite was a black, grey and white picture that from a few feet away, looked like a real black and white wedding picture!  There was also a really good modern art piece, but I think it would have looked better in browns or black and greys.  Then we went to the Seattle House and on the second floor we enjoyed the Croatia Festival as we had lunch.  We did not go to the Children's Museum because I could see that Amber was getting tired.  So we went to visit the grandparents (my parents) before we went home.  It was a really good weekend.
