Bobby's uncle Bud loves Jonny Cash. As I was reading my email a friend had sent me the most interesting video of a kid who can sing like Jonny cash.
Discovered singing on a Seattle street, Vince Mira, 15, is a somewhat shy kid who looks uncomfortable during a TV interview. But when he steps up to the microphone to sing Johnny Cash's classic "Ring of Fire," the result is downright spooky. He performs the song in this Good Morning America segment.

Bobby and I do not like sitting around the house. It reminds us of all the projects
we should be tackling, but are just not ready to start yet. Last Saturday, it was predicted that we would have 70 degree weather with much sunshine. We decided to go to another state park to check out what was there. We invited our friend and her two kids. We took two vehicles and got to the park in time for a late lunch. There was no parking, so we decided to take a slow lunch until we could get everyone properly parked. No reason to ruin this gorgeous day with a ticket.
We were soon on our way to the beach. It was not that nice, but we found a patch of
sand across the way and worked our way over. The kids played in the sand after a thorough lathering of sunscreen. Nick did his own and that is important later in the story. The younger kids played in the sand, ran and had fun. Nick took off to walk along the waters edge and Bobby took off for the wooded trails so the "girls" could talk. We took the kids to the water and they were able to hold live sand dollars. Amber screamed on her way back because it was squishy and there was a lot of not so alive sand
dollars to step on.
It was soon time to head back home since it was an hour drive. We realized our patch of sand had grown into a real beach and found that though we may not come back to this park, it was nice while we were here.
After we got home we checked the kids for sunburns. Amber was a little rosy in the cheeks, but otherwise the sun block did as it was suppose to. Nick had a totally burnt back except for a hand print with a smear. Yes, Nick used one hand and one swipe and he paid for it. I got sun on my cheeks and shoulders, but by the next day was tanning nicely.
Washington should have more days like these.
This Easter we did things right. We colored a lot of eggs. Usually we
don't have time because of our jobs or other things going on in our lives, but because I am a stay at home mom right now, I had plenty of time to plan for this. We bought a big family kit that had sparkles, stickers, foil, tie dye, stickers, raps, crayon, and dye. It was the old fashion kind that used vinegar instead of water. we have found that they color better. Amber, Nick, Bobby and I colored 2 dozen
eggs. We
were shy one because it cracked in the pot of boiling water, but other wise we did well. No one dropped eggs. Amber and Nick received money from Bobby's mom and the kids were able to spend that before Easter. Amber is holding her Princess Play Camera in the picture. Bobby colored and drew on his. I think my favorite egg he made was the tie dye one that said I
love Jesus. Nick and Amber were very artistic
and seemed inspired. We had dinner early so we would have time to color eggs. It took a while too. Everyone was having a good time. I love when we do things together.
There are many times in a woman's life where you may describe her husband, boyfriend, brother or
even father as immature, boyish, childlike, even young at heart. Well, this is one of those times when I have documented these claims. My husband who is in his thirties is caught playing with a
Barbie from our daughter's collection. I am sure Amber is very happy to have a playmate. Now I think I might have to buy more Ken dolls so that they can play Barbies more often. Now that is a look of pure joy on their faces. Love the Barbie.
